Large Group Performance Evaluation

Last week, all FIVE Dade County Chorus groups participated in the Georgia Music Educators Association's Large Group Performance Evaluation festival at Pepperell High School in Lindale, Ga.  We traveled across three days so that each group had the opportunity to perform before GMEA selected judges who evaluated our groups according to the criteria set forth by the GMEA organization in Performance and in Sight-Reading.  Our choirs received the following scores: 

​DCHS Mixed Chorus: II(EXCELLENT) in Performance and I(SUPERIOR) in Sight-Reading
DCHS Women's Chorus: II(EXCELLENT) in Performance and II(EXCELLENT) in Sight-Reading
DMS 8th Chorus: III(GOOD) in Performance and III(GOOD) in Sight-Reading
DMS 7th Grade Chorus: II(EXCELLENT) in Performance and I(SUPERIOR) in Sight-Reading
DMS 6th Grade Chorus: I(SUPERIOR) in Performance and I(SUPERIOR) in Sight-Reading

Please join in me in congratulating these students on a successful LGPE Performance Season and commending them for their hard work and dedication in the preparation for this evaluation. I am SO proud of EACH and EVERY one of these students! They have all done an AMAZING job in developing their musicianship this semester! :)
